Bridge Competition
The Requirements for the bridge contest:
1. The bridge must span a clear distance of two feet ten inches and have a maximum length of three feet.
2. The weight of the bridge should not exceed 240 grams. For every gram exceeding this limit the load carried by the structure will be reduced by 1%.
3. Craft sticks and glue are the only materials to be used in construction of the bridge.
4. The winners will be judged by the maximum load carried minus any reduction for overweight.
5. Each entry will be provided with a loading device, a 4"x 4" wood block
6. Glue may extend only ¼" from joints. The structure may not be "painted" with glue.
7. The structure must be simply supported
8. Bridges will be loaded at mid-span to failure.
Week 11
Continue Working on Bridge Model for Competition
Week 12
Using Inventor for Stress Analysis on Objects
Creating Assembly Drawings in Inventor

Week 14
Reverse Engineering Project
Students will disassemble a object, measure the pieces, and then create an assembly drawing in Inventor
Car Emergency Supply Kit
Students will use Inventor to design a ca emergency supply kit that can securely store 7 emergency supplies
Week 15
Students use Inventor to design a children's popcorn holder for a movie theater chain. Design must choose a them and import images onto the holder. Design must be child friendly for holding, be able to hold 2 cups of popcorn and a juice box, and be able to collapse for storage.
